Kinney Karate
Founded in 1969, Kinney Karate has developed into the world's most well rounded martial arts system. Comprised primarily of Tang-soo-do, Jiu Jitsu, and Aikido — and influenced by Krav Maga, Kempo, Shotokan, and Modern Arnis — it's a complete system expertly curated by some of the best instructors in the world.
Our training philosophy is that each student is on their own journey. Their path in the martial arts may look very different from another student, even in the same class. The connection between student and teacher allows for clear, honest communication of goals and expectations so that progress is continuously made. Classes start as young as 5 years old — and it's never too late to start.

Karate D&D
Karate D&D is Balance Martial Arts & Gaming's one-of-a-kind weekly program combining traditional Kinney Karate training with an ongoing Dungeons & Dragons campaign. Every session begins in the dojo — students train, sweat, and improve — then gather at the table, where their effort in class echoes into the game through rewards tailored to their own progress.
The idea is simple: when self-improvement becomes part of the adventure, people are more excited to keep going. Whether you're brand new to martial arts, brand new to D&D, or already love both — Karate D&D offers a welcoming way to train, play, and grow alongside a committed group.
Each Session

Gaming
Our beautiful "Ultimate Gaming Tables" are available for games of all kinds — from Magic: The Gathering to D&D to Warhammer. Our active community is constantly arranging meet-ups, and regular events are always being scheduled with promos and prizes.
Heroic Health Group

Games After Dark
