Balance Martial Arts and Gaming is both the Dojo location for Kinney Karate and a community gaming store. It's founded on the principle that people are multifaceted and need a place to go that nourishes more than one aspect of their lives in a welcoming, friendly environment.
With our beautiful gaming tables, comfortable lounge, cozy library, and fantastic workout space — plus additional services like Self Defense for seniors, Adaptive Yoga for wounded warriors, and D&D group therapy — Balance is truly the place to find new friends and develop your best self.

Grand Master Seth Koehler
8th Degree Black Belt · Grand Master
Grand Master Seth Koehler has been with Kinney Karate for over 25 years, training primarily under school founder Soke Michael Kinney and Grand Master Susan Serota. He holds black belt ranks in Shotokan, Judo, Modern Arnis, and Krav Maga, and has promoted dozens of students to Black Belt — including several Master Instructors. After the passing of Soke Kinney, Seth took over operational responsibilities for Kinney Karate and now runs the day-to-day operations at Balance.

Master Stavro Liginos
5th Degree Black Belt · Master Instructor
Stavro started with Kinney Karate under Grand Master Koehler at age 5, earned his 1st Degree Black Belt at 12, and is now a 5th Degree with his Master Instructor certification. A former EMT and first responder, he has served as center lead at multiple Kinney Karate locations and is a two-time EUSAIMAA Black Belt Hall of Fame inductee for Martial Arts Dedication and Inspirational Martial Arts Spirit.
Master Sonja Leone
4th Degree Black Belt · Master Instructor
Sonja began her martial arts journey in 2013, following in the footsteps of her children. Starting as an adult wasn't easy, but she proved that with dedication anyone can reach their goals — she is now a 4th Degree Black Belt and became Center Lead Instructor at Fossil Park in 2018. She is dedicated to passing on her knowledge to anyone willing to learn.
